It appears the only way to use the sustain pedal is with an actual sustain pedal attached to my midi controller. Is that really the case? I was hoping there would be some way to just set the sustain somewhere without a pedal and just play. I'm not a piano player by any means, so was hoping to set the sustain/release the same way that i would with NN-XT and reason pianos.does that make sense?Studio One Pro w/ latest build // i7 2.6 ghz mac mini w/ 16gb ram // RME Fireface UCX // Yamaha HS50m's // GAP Pre-73 modded // Blue Reactor mic // Shure sm7b, 57 & 58 // Roland TR8 // Faderport // Padkontrol & Edirol pcr-50 // Arturia V-collection 3.0, V-station, Synthmaster 2.5, Komplete 9 and various other vst's. It seems to be heavy on cpu, plus i get a lot of spikes. That being said, i just picked up the arturia v-collection 3 and am seeing spikes with some of their instruments as well. I feel like a lot of it has to do with my system. Not terribly ideal for audio production. One more question though. I can't seem to get the sustain to show up in the control link window as you did.
Did you just click on the sustain pedal in AK to get that to show up? Or did you click on the automation lane somewhere? Neither seem to work for me.This message was edited 1 time. Addictive Keys: Studio Grand from XLN Audio is a virtual instrument featuring a nine foot sampled Steinway Model D Concert Grand piano. The piano was recorded in a large recording studio at the Swedish Broadcasting Corporation, a room famous for having a controlled acoustic ambience with reverberation that nonetheless sounds tight and airy at the same time. The samples were captured using rare vintage tube and ribbon microphones at several different perspectives – from close up with microphones next to the soundboard, to far away with natural room ambience. The end result is a warm and vibrant sound that goes from intimate to larger-than-life.An ExploreMap page within the interface contains a selection of presets that can be easily previewed and selected with a single click, making it easy to explore the various sounds possibilities. Many ExploreMaps also contain convenient macro controllers for fast and easy editing. Additionally, deeper editing is provided with effects and individual processing available for each microphone channel. The My Cloud feature of Addictive Keys includes cloud storage of all presets and memos as long as the music computer is connected to the Internet.

One benefit is a constant backup of presets and settings in the event of a computer crash, or the acquisition of a new computer. Another benefit is the ability to access user files across multiple computers and to share presets with other users.
